The 1st Meeting on Bio-based and Circular Textile Technologies (BIOCIR-TEX 2025) will bring together researchers, innovators, and industry professionals committed to advancing sustainable, circular solutions across the textile value chain. This inaugural edition focuses on closing the loop in textile processing, particularly in dyeing, finishing, and materials innovation, while emphasizing bio-based approaches that reduce environmental impact and resource dependency.
A central mission of BIOCIR-TEX 2025 is to bridge the gap between academia and industry — fostering proximity, dialogue, and collaboration to accelerate the real-world implementation of circular textile technologies. By integrating scientific advances with industrial practice, the meeting aims to catalyze new pathways toward regenerative, low-impact textile systems.
Venue
Polo II Auditorium Laginha Serafim
(Civil Engineering Department), University of Coimbra, Portugal

Topics
Circular processing technologies for dyeing, finishing, and chemical recovery.
